As per the title really. I fancy building a new system, ideally based around a 3700 or, possibly, a 3900. Are there any suitable B450 ITX mbs that will handle these, or will I need to look towards a 570?

Thanks,

Matt

as above MSI and Aorus have soild VRMs , better then 90% of B450 and X470 boards . MSI isn't the stongest as above, thats ASUS STRIX-E ATX, which is hard to get ahold of and went under the radar . Next is the MSI and then Aorus. Both use Integrated Mosfet unlike strix and other b450 boards that use separate Low & High mosfet to make one phase .

MSI board doesn't have a quick flash option like its other boards. If it doesn't have a bios option for Ryzen 3*** then your left to get a Send Gen chip to then flash the bios, Gigabyte will flash it for you if its not the correct bio since they are UK based .

MSI have 1x M.2 , Aorus has 2x M.2

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £267.08 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Aorus PWM controller IR35201 (4+2) , Mosfet used - IR3556 = 4x 50 Amps across Vcore
MSI PWM controller IR35201 (6+2), Mosfet used - IR3555 = 6x 60amps across Vcore

and then if you've got the cash for x570 ITX - 6 x 70amps across the Vcore !

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £237.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Just a thought, many ITX cases are on the line as to what cooling they have. Obviously this will affect the CPU, but its also worth thinking about the VRM cooling. A motherboard that would handle a 3900x fine in good conditions may struggle when shoved into a tiny box with little or no airflow :(
