I think anyone who buys into that kind of hatred has to be mentally unwell. It's very tricky to look at the world through the eyes of someone with such issues, but I think it's important to try to understand them. If you found yourself in a similar position, what would it take for you to turn your back on it and seek a more productive, reality-based existence?

It still amazes me that Merkel seems so clueless as to why this is happening. You can't just open up your country to millions of people that hold incompatible views and not expect the crazies to rise up in response. It was always going to happen. The innocent people that have died from both Islamic terrorists and far right extremists is down to her stupid decisions.
She talks about racism and hate, but her actions have directly affected Germany's Jewish population who are now faced with the possibility of having to move out of the country because of a sharp increase in antisemitism. I wonder why antisemitism is on the rise... Couldn't possibly have anything to do with letting millions of people in that belong to a religion that despises Jews, right?

I'd agree with your comment to an extend if we were mainly talking about "Westernised" Muslims. However in the Middle East, where a lot of the recent influx of migrants have come from, it's still a valid concern to have, at least so far as I can tell from my near 20 years experience of living/working in the area.
Ok they only had a CEO of Paypal then were past that bro, But they do run the media and Hollywood.

For me, I think I'd need a sympathetic ear to listen to my underlying problems which led me to abandon reality, and gradually lead me back on the straight and narrow.
When my younger German grandson, (my son married a German girl), started seeing a Turko-German girl, I said to my son, “She seems like a keeper, attractive, smart, and obviously bang in love with Mark, you’re not concerned about the Muslim thing are you?”
