I am at a lost cause regarding monitors and what’s good and what’s bad...
My current monitor absolute sucks but it was good in its day going back nearly 10 plus years...
It’s a Samsung sync master t220 :)
I can’t even use it as my gpu only takes HDMI cable not the old fashion connection my monitor uses so
Now I’m using 32inch alba tv at the moment.
I have recently built a gaming pc specs are
3600 Ryzen cpu
16 gig Ballistix 3200mhz ram
MSI rtx 2070 armour gpu
Msi mortar max motherboard
Arctic Freezer e sports cooler
NZXT 400i case
I love the size of a 32inch monitor and have been looking at msi optix AG32cv 31.5 inch but unsure if it’s compatible with Nvidia cards???
I only brought the 2070 as it was a good price of £280 but I don’t want to be tied to using 1 brand of gpu always and for ever so a monitor has to be cross compatible with amd also..
I only want to game at 1080p and more hrz the better as I only play FPS games
27inch 1Ms 144hrz be ok??
My budget is £250 max but I would prefer to go cheaper if possible...
I believe my pc specs are good as I read countless threads regarding gaming pc only and I’ve kind of neglected a monitor lol
So your help would be appreciated

This monitor 1440p? Just read the descriptions it all sounds good and exceeds in FPS games which is tempting but unsure what frame rate my gpu can dish out or even it’s good enough
For 1440p gaming with FPS game
Like bf5.

AOC 27G2U/BK low £200's and a nice monitor with an ips panel but only 1080p 144Hz.

You can find these three for around £250 all have va panels and 1440p 144Hz

AOC Q27G2U/BK
AOC CQ27G2U/BK
Samsung LC27JG50QQUXEN

Would be best to go 1440p for the long term even if your gpu can not push it yet you can drop it to 1080p and when you have better gpu put it back to 1440p.

I’m sold on 1440p knowing if I’m not happy with my frame rate I can change resolution to 1080 depending on what game I am playing and I suppose 1440p will last longer in the long run..
I shall research the above monitors ty

I was looking at that dvi adapter but thinking my gpu would be wasted on such a old monitor and may as well upgrade that monitor not even 1080 I don’t think
