Hey guys,

my OCUK gpu arrives in a hour or so..

it’s a 2070s and replacing the 1660s in atm.

what I want to know, do I really need the DDU to wipe the drivers? Or can I just swap the units around?

Cheers

hey guys, just installed the new GPU..

everything seemingly working, apart from the "GIGABYTE" rgb logo on the side, it does not luminate at all?

You only need to use DDU if on AMD.

Well that is a load of rubbish LOL

The program was designed to remove leftovers from a normal driver uninstall for both AMD and Nvidia.

Recommended usage

  • You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
  • DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling/installing a driver or when switching GPU brand.
  • DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing.
  • DDU will not work on network drive. Please install in a local drive (C:, D: or else).
  • The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
  • If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot.
  • Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
  • It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.

is it supposed to ?

DDU type uninstallers are devil spawn never used them for years and years and years ever since one messed up the AMD drivers by uninstalling all AMD .inf files from Windoze.

Yes mate, im 99% sure. Like the other cards.. :(

Anyone with suggestions? I tried the RGB software from Gigabyte but no dice..

Do I RMA "just" for that? I mean the card seems OK otherwise?

Hey guys,

Just finished a sesh on BFV there, I was averaging around 100fps on 3840x1080 at ultra..does that seem reasonable for a 2070s?

temps reasonable, CPU peak in game, 70c and the GPU peak in game 63c

DDU's never caused a single issue for me, having used it for a long time now. It's less necessary than it used to be though. Both AMD and Nvidia have gotten their **** together in recent years in terms of leaving cruft behind from old drivers to cause problems.
