Hi All.
Got the upgrade itch as I have not upgraded in the last 3 years so thinks about time.
Current spec is as follows
i7-6700K overclocked to 4.5 ghz
16gb 2400mhz memory
Nvidia geforce GTX 1080
This is all in a custom full loop so everything is water cooled.
So for cpu/mem/mobo/storage I am thinking this set-up
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Now this bit I am not sure on is the graphics card.. I know budget does not allow for a 2080ti (Especially as i need a water block on it as well) but i was researching the 2080Super with the EK block on it which would equate to this
My basket at Overclockers UK:
That pretty much hits budget but I am guessing my question is... is the 2080Super enough over my current 1080 (Gaming at 1440p) or should i get the rest of the components and keep my 1080 and wait for ampere and see what that brings?
My 1080 is OK at that res but i do have to lower certain settings to get best performance. looking at some videos comparing the two depending on the game in looking at anywhere between 30-50fps uptake in most games
thoughts?
