Gutted!

going to join the a50 earlier, the car in front comes to an almost stop as they couldn’t join. I slow right down then see the guy flying up behind. I try and move to the left out of his way. BANG!! Smacked right in the back!!

bumper is all creased/broken. Boot is dented. Just tried the auto shut boot button and it won’t close.

blimmin loved this car

it was booked in tmw for warranty work. guess they’ll get a bigger job now.

annoyingly the car that slowed right down just drove off. Guess they were the trigger but the guy bombing it up my chuff was the main issue.

this’ll all be on his insurance?

No front or rear dash cams sadly. That will come once the car is fixed!!

the auto boot won’t shut on its own. Hoping it’s just the bent boot door.

the guy was ok, we were both shaking! He’d just had a face full of air bag, so probably worse than me.

not to do a “where there’s a blame...” my lower back has been super stiff since it happened

99%
but the bummer (lolpun) is that your premium will increase too...even though it wasn't your fault

I see this mentioned a lot, but since my car was written off in an incident >2 years ago (non-fault) I haven't paid a penny more for my insurance (it's actually come down over time). Quoting with/without the incident doesn't change the premium at all (Direct Line). Did I get lucky?

Sue their asses.

A dashcam is always a good idea. But no matter what argument they try the insurer will just say they were to close or not paying attention. Unless they can prove otherwise.

No I found the same, even with an at fault claim it made no noticeable difference.

Recommendations for front/rear dash cams.
Do they have to be so in the way? You see them in the middle of windscreens, with a little led screen lit up. Do they have to have the screen on?

some pics. Doesn’t look like much...
