Syria war: 22 Turkish troops killed in airstrike

Do you even know what conscription is? I never ever said i wanted to to join army and invade other countries. Those 33 people had no choice but go there. In Turkey it's either you pay some good amount of money or you serve for 6 months at random spots. Of course there are excuses for disabled persons etc. But that's not the point.

and for your death wish. i hope you get through the same stuff or your loved ones...

I am Greek. Is national service there and was in for 2 years in the 90s when joined. And had numerous retraining (drafting) since hence still liable to be called immediately.
And was serving still Januay 1996 when Imia incident occured. For 3 weeks in the middle of the worst winter in NE Aegean, was in a defensive position open to weather on front line on an island ready to blast anything that appeared on my scope on to the gear was assigned to.

That to realise to whom you talking to. I am prepared to die for my country. Are you when you set foot on an island or Thrace? Are you ready when your drilling ship goes down the bottom of the Aegean when Erdogan sends it again outside Crete?

i guess something traumatized you back in aegean sea. i should've stopped arguing when you came up with falklands in first place. take it easy big man. don't forget about the medicines.

Sarcasm from a Turk now? Hahaha thats rich.
Btw you create a new account in here today and first post in this discussion. Why?
Just happen to passing by?

Turkey need to get the hell out of Northern Syria and stop destabilising the region by helping syrian rebels (who are basically ISIS in disguise). Whilst Putin and Russia are no saints, they are there at the request of the legitimate syrain government. Turkey are idiots if they think NATO are going to come over the mountain to save them like Gandalf did at Helms Deep.

I doubt NATO are that stupid to start WWIII for the likes of Turkish endeavours in Syria or Libya.
A country threatening all it's neighbours even if they are NATO members (Greece, Bulgaria) and despised by everyone in the region.

Meanwhile, the Greeks are doing their best for humanity: 'Coastguard seen apparently trying to capsize boat full of refugees before attacking them with stick, as child drowns off coast.'

Video emerged on Monday of Greek coastguard officers apparently trying to capsize a boat full of refugees at sea, as a crisis mounted over migrants from the Middle East attempting to reach western Europe.

A migrant child was also killed on Monday when the boat they were aboard capsized off the island of Lesbos and a Syrian refugee trying to cross the Greek border was reportedly killed by rubber bullets, underscoring the dangers faced by those attempting make the passage west from Turkey. It is unclear if the child was on the boat seen in the video.

The footage is pretty brutal. They try to capsize the dinghy, then they hit the occupants with a metal pole, then they appear to fire bullets around it (whether rubber or not, it really isn't a good look).

Well obviously it's not a good look, but I don't think Greece can handle any more refugees, so it's understandable. What's not understandable is sinking the ship, why not just shoot them?

Drowning is such a ****** way to die.

Or Australia has the right to protect it's borders but Greece cannot?

Also do you want them?

If so please urge your government to send airplanes, the outback is pretty empty and there are 3 million of them. Greece is full and at breaking point social & economical. Let alone with SARS running wild in Europe.

Did also at any point in this article says that this boat was sank also? No. It was pushed back safely to Turkey which landed.
However a previous boat on Sunday, the moment they crossed to the Greek waters and saw the coastal guard, sank their own boat (common well documented practice) so Greece by law is forced to save them and put them inland. In that instance a child died, like hundreds other children died to force Greece all those years take them in.

FYI. This Algerian at the borders effectively saying "We will cross the borders, regardless if they want it we will f*ck them".

So any takers for this guy in their own country? Because that's how countries get destabilized resulting to proxy "civil in name" wars.

Is that an Algerian wanting to go to Greece?

I'd have thought Sardinia or Spain via dinghy might have been a better option for him.

Yes is Algerian.
They cannot cross from Algeria because the Med is dangerous place. They cannot go over 1 mile with those shtty boats at open sea without becoming food for sharks. Hence the big "rescue" vessels NGOs were using all those years to land them to Italy. But have you heard any news from Italy side the last 2 years with ships landing and unloading "saved" illegals? No. Because since Salvini closed it's ports to those ships 2y ago, no other consequent Italian government dared to re-open them, regardless if Salvini isn't in power but a Left government is. So the whole people trafficking ended through Italy.

Spain has also the mass send back policy without even asking their name or nationality. They put them on the same boat they arrive and tow them to Morocco's coast where they are coming from. With the blessing for ECHR as is legal to do so as per recent ruling.

So if Greece is forced to shoot them, think first the danger the ex Al-Qaeda, ex ISIS pose to Greece.

Also here with subtitles in english

Australian policy is we will decide who comes to our country.

The alternative is you let some foreigners decide that for you, when, how, and in how many numbers they please. Aka Surrender sovereign control of your borders. Aka Surrender sovereign control of your country.

No one is "forced" to shoot them.

If they break through attacking the police & solders do you believe will stand take their weapons? No. They will be massacred.
Today the whole 4th Army corps in Evros has live ammunition exercises across the whole border. Has warned everyone to avoid the zones, especially the forest at Kastanies otherwise might get shot, or blown up by artillery shells falling next to the border inside the Greek territory.

Same to all the islands, as ASDEN announced all divisions on all islands are out for live ammunition training today and possibly tomorrow. So bullets flying due to exercises, better not come close to the islands. Someone angry might take aim....

Why are you even saying this? Nobody expects a place like Australia to have not have a controlled immigration system. Just seems like you wanted a reason to 'sovereign'.

It's a bit different for places with land borders and no large tracts of ocean.
