yeah he knows his stuff, they are loong videos!!! but to be fair very informative, have watched as much as i can, now in memory overload!! im sure it will all make sense when its switched on in front of me
thanks mate, got the last bits arriving tomorrow incl the Nochua NH u9s and a 512GB aorus pcie 4.0 m.2 ssd, i know i prob wont see any difference in speed real world compared to standard 2.5 ssd, but apparently the windows install and load up times are pretty impressive , my laptop had a Samsung 970 PRO 512 GB NVMe M.2 Internal SSD and that was impressive compared to the 2.5 1tb ssd that was paired with it,
gonna get case stripped down tomorrow, ready to start building friday

Hi mate,
literally finished last night twice ! What a nightmare of my own doing ! Had to fit and remove the motherboard several times to adjust the case brackets in order to get everything else aligned including the GPU,
got it all finished about 5:30pm and tried to switch it on ...... nothing....... oh dear
had dinner and the mrs had some work so said “why don’t you go see what’s wrong with all the money you spent on that thing”
lol
So took it all apart and tested the psu, which worked, then plugged it all in on the desk and nothing
Then realised I had the power led and power plugs the wrong way round, still nothing then sat there looking at all the plugs on the psu and this one that was a 10pin was sat looking at me, and then realised I though this was supposed to plug onto the motherboard but there was only a 24pin and 8 pin socket on it, and so looked at the psu and low and behold it was the other end of the 24 pin that plugs into the psu ! Not sure why they would split that end ?
gor it all back together and works YAY, have to say for me the Noctua 9s was a bitch to screw in , one side just would not take. Dread to think what the paste is like under there now,
but all up and running onto the bios and seems stable. Had to use XMP to get memory to post from 2400mhz to 3200 MHz
Going to load OS this morning and close the hatches! And see what the temps are like, I’m fully expecting
To have to re do the thermal paste, but happy to do if needed ,
at the moment only running with the fan on the cooler and the AIO for the gpu, if I can keep within acceptable working temps will add another cooler fan and think about the rest,

yeah didn’t figure any point in getting the SF600 when the sf750 was there, just installing windows, in the time it’s taken to reply I’m at the getting ready whirly thing lol
I bought the seasonic psu when it was on offer that's 750 watt aswell are you installing Windows to a m2 drive
yes mate. Pcie 4 drive , I bought the aorous 512 gab one as os drive and the sabrent 1gb one as well , it’s supposed to be the aoros basically,
Nice that should be rapid was looking at a sabrent rocket drive myself supposed to be really good
Spoke to soon. Loaded to windows fine, now it boots but monitor is not coming on doh
yeah it might have been the display port cable, had to hack the plug because of clearance issues with the case, a known issue apparently, only realised as it went off in windows so will see if it does it again
Ok along as you know what the issue is

thanks mate, just got into Windows ! Oc ing the ram is the plan, along with the cpu, hoping for 4.2ghz and 3600mhz , just goto make sure the temps are good, I take it prime 95 is the thing to use for testing out the cpu etc, is it free anyone now or paid for
