Hi,

Does anyone have one of these and confirm of the front fan is removed it can be used as a case fan?

In pictures it looks like the mounting holes are moulded at the front of the fan specially for fan clips rather than the interchangeable mounts that the case fans come with, can anyone confirm?

Thanks

in theory if you've got a long enough screw for it, since mounting hole is half away into the thickness of the unit .

just use zip ties !

Yeah the mounting hole is on the front of the frame, probably done on purpose so you have to buy additional fans, I'm considering trying an Arctic Freezer 2 240 now, all the reviews are good I just cant make my mind up what I want

if you have the DRP4 , i'd just use that as its failure rate is only the fan. Cheap CLC unit, the bump goes thats it . and performance will be equal with DRP4 being quieter .

If you going to replace that unit, you'd go custom Loop or AIO like Eisbear and full copper/thick rad to keep sound down etc .

No I dont have one at the moment, I'm on the standard cooler and looking for new one.

I'm tempted by the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 240 because they review really well and are cheap and look nice and clean when installed, I'm not sure I want a massive heat sink again. I already have the P series fans too.

Saying that I'm also considering the Arctic 34 Esports Due which also reviews well but not sure I like the look, the DRP4 I would remove the front fan as looks nicer and doesnt affect temps but me being me I would need to buy BeQuiet fans to replace the Arctics because everything has to match.

Whats better about an Eisbear?
