Let me help...

This is me this morning looking like the elephant man. Attractive I think you will agree. This is not a medical or even a advice thread but feel free to mock me at will.

I'm on the roids and will be back to rude health before you know it. Its not even that hot here in cape verde, I have been to far hotter places and never had an issue.

Looks like the local ruffians have given you a right good going over!

went to bed fine and woke up like this at 3am. First thing I did was wake up the wife and ask "Do you still love me if I look like this" - lets just say her reaction wasnt the comedy reaction I anticipated.

I have fair skin, on a skiing holiday at around 14 I didn't wear any sun screen, obviously skiing all day on a glacier my face was a mess. Almost one big blister that required hospital treatment and special gels to calm down. I remember it clearly although it wasn't technically an allergic reaction just sun burn.

I've been using factor 50 since ive been here but on day 1 was a bit lax as it was quite windy and there was a bit of a chill in the air. I went to the hospital this morning which cost me a small fortune and they just slapped me with a load of tablets which also cost a small fortune. Perhaps I shouldnt have been as lax on the first day... you live and learn I guess.

Is that actually any allergic reaction to the sun? how?:p

Sure not just got bad aids from the accommodation or something.

No idea, no idea at all. The hospital wanted to give me an injection of some description which I refused multiple times, injection in an under developed african country.. no thank you!! After the 3rd time refusing they said I could take the same steroid orally so that is where I am at.

Its not the accomodation, im rocking 5 stars and even upgraded to a superior suite from our junior suite on arrival. The place is lovely to be fair.

Allergic reaction to The Sun, you say?
Yeah.... you have started to resemble their average readership, a bit. Hints of inbreeding in the face... :p
What happened - Did you get smacked in the face with a rolled up copy?

May I suggest a more intellectually stimulating newspaper, with lots of long words? If there's nothing better, something pretentious like The Guardian will still work.
