Hello chaps!
I'm after strips of wood or plastic, 4mm ish square. Need about 1.5 metres, longer the length the better, but I can glue it together. I can do rectangular too, say 4mm X 6mm etc

Found a decent site selling them for 35p per 900mm, but they're closed.

Can anyone recommend a website where I can get this? I can't leave the house.

Really appreciate any help!

Tried that any many other search terms mate. Can't find anything except deliveries from China which will arrive at the end of May.

Ideally I'd like it in a few days to keep working on my project, and retain my sanity :D

Have you tried a local window suppliers? They may be open and could possibly deliver? 4x25mm strips are very common as external edging I bought some in 5m lengths when we did our windows last year.

I'll have a look mate, thanks. Main problem is I've got very little dosh to work with.

Thats what she said.

That's why I married well above my station :D

Absolutely no luck finding something suitable that isn't either silly expensive, or will take ages to arrive.

All I need is something I can make a 140x420 frame out of, and wrap some tights around it!

For posterity, I've found two sites with sensible prices. I broadened my search terms right up, and settled on clear rather than white plastic.

SimplyPlastics.com has a reasonable shipping cost of £4.95incl, and will cut to length free of charge. Prices are ok.

Clearplastictube.co.uk has very good prices, but a £10 shipping fee. Better for larger orders.

For what I need, both cost around the same delivered.

Going to order pre-cut lengths 2mm longer than required, sand, glue and stretch the white tights over (£2.50, bargain!). Will be a tight press fit in the main frame.

Total cost is £16.50ish, three times what I wanted to spend. It's reasonable though, and even with the tights is cheaper than a demciflex filter, which wouldn't work, and I think the magnets are poo anyway.

The rest is being built from parts I already had, so a cheap project, that I'm enjoying. Sanding filler is taking ages (hands hurt badly) but it's very nice to be productive.

Cheers for the input guys, much appreciate the collective wisdom. It's @BigBoy who inspired me with search terms, so special thanks to you mate.

Just for posterity if anyone needed to buy wooden timber strips I can highly recommend a model ship supplier based in Cornwall Model Boats. They supply in 1m length cardboard postage tubes at quite reasonable rates.
