Quarantine has brought me to new levels of boredom in my life, so much so I am considering posting on instagram. Seems like people just post garbage? How can I make a post worthy of the gram so to speak

Thanks all

My wife is on the damn thing all the time..

DUNG !!!! Complete DUNG !!!

but just my opinion....

Generally pictures to try and elicit comments that make people feel better about themselves from what I can see.

Just post garbage, if that's what they do as you said in your post. You'll fit right in, be 'worthy of the gram so to speak' by doing so.

You might find it easier to stomach if you treat it like scuba diving. Lower yourself to see odd sights and be seen.

Whatever you want. The nice thing about Instagram is that, other than ads, you don't tend to see anything you aren't interested in unlike Twitter and Facebook which push content you aren't interested in and rely on people you know/follow sharing other content. If you just follow people who take photos of their meals, vapid influencers and meme accounts that's all you'll get.

Personally I follow a lot of musicians/producers that I'm interested in, and often post any photos of new music I've bought from Bandcamp etc. Creates a bit of a two-way connection because I get to see what they're working on and they get to see that people are buying and enjoying their work, it's nice.

How dare you suggest such a thing.

I thought it was where teenagers hung out to communicate as the parents and grandparents took over faceache and thereby ruined it for them.

And cat pictures. Can't have enough cat pictures.

I thought it was a teenage version of Facebook.
Less mum's and complete Chinese/African Bot morons spamming everything.

My internet guide:
Twitter for profanity,
Instagram for vanity,
Facebook for mundanity,
Turn it all off for sanity.

Not sure where this forum sits in that spectrum. Daren't think about it too hard.

I don't tend to use it much just some old pictures (couple from holidays as a kid, etc.) I've stuck on there to keep a copy of them and/or because family wanted to see them, the odd pictures from projects I've worked on that people have been interested in seeing.

A large amount of people post stuff as above for vanity reasons and/or to try and fit in with the crowd.

It seems it isn't so popular among Americans - it has 120.7 million users, but 89 per cent are outside the US.

The key to reading is to look at the letters :D
