Can someone explain what people typically post on instagram?

I actually signed up for an Instagram account yesterday. In my defense it was to try to automate something in python for my son and I needed an account to test it on. The first page it showed me was a list of recommended people to follow. What a bunch of vacuous 'celebrities' that was. All just a complete waste of space.

I do hope that after the Wuhan flu has passed we will reassess our societies love of people likke that. Unfdortunately I doubt that will happen.

What I don't get is - what elevates Instagram over the likes of deviantART or Wordpress? Instagram is for posting pictures, right? However there is a cap on the max resolution, something like 1080 x 1080? deviantART and Wordpress lets you upload the original digicam resolution. There is Flickr as well but that went down the toilet a while back.

deviantART is when you want to bang the anime girls you drew and Instagram is more like the other girls who pretended they were real but you didn't draw and will not bang.

:)

I actually like that IG lowers photos' resolutions because it means when people inevitably nick your content it won't look perfect.

My partner has a growing obsession with plants and flowers. getting more and more delivered each day, She now posts them on instagram and is getting a good response.
