I was really pleased with my new Roccat keyboard when it arrived last week, but I've just noticed something quite strange..

The shift element of a key is printed BELOW the main element instead of above.

So for the 1-0 numerical keys, the !"£$%^&*() symbols are actually printed below the number instead of above it.

Same deal with , . ; keys....

Anyone know why this is? Is this why the KB is so cheap ;)

All the images in articles, etc. on the keyboard show the keys marked up as you describe - seems a bit odd but it isn't just your keyboard.

Sounds like those keycaps are designed for old single colour Cherry MX, whose LED is on upper part of switch and wouldn't illuminate main symbol if it were lower.

Good point, but I can confirm on this KB the entire key, ie both symbols, are lit.

It doesn't explain why a caps key would have the arrow pointing down though. I googled it and it appears to be a German thing....
