This may sound daft but I don't know the answer to it.

I'm looking at getting a board that has RAM speeds listed as '2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466/ 4000/ 4133 MHz (by A-XMP OC MODE)' on the manufactures website.

The RAM speed I have is 3600Mh and I want to know if I'll be able to run the RAM at 3600Mhz? Will that be an option in the BIOS or will I have to choose 3466Mhz? The board is the MSI Gaming Plus Max if that helps.

Once it's up and running, make sure the motherboard bios is up to date and then just run XMP (or D.O.C.P) and it should then set the ram speed to the quoted 3,600MHz :)
