Best budget GPU around £150

What would you say is the best budget GPU for around the £150 mark?

I've been looking at making a budget build PC for my brother and that's roughly what he has to spend.
I was looking at XFX RX 580 GTS XXX edition card or potentially sell him my Sapphire Vega 56 on the cheap and I'll get a 2070 Super or similar.
 
If your considering used then you could probably get a RX590 8gb for that, Used 1070's have sold for £150 - £170 on here so that could be something else

I think he may be a little put off of used. He bought a 970ti last week to get him started on an old i5-2500k setup I gave him and it's started to artefact and cut out already.

Ahh OK no worries, I'd consider that RX580 then if you can get it in your £150 budget :)
 
If you're luck you can get a RX590 but it looks more likely you'll get a 580 at that price.

If I had enough posts to use the classifieds I'd sell you the barely used (less than 10 hours game play) RX590 8GB sitting next to me. :(
 
I don't think he is any major rush so may give him a chance to get more money, then again he may need a PSU as the one I gave him was pretty old and only a 550W bronze.

I've seen a new 590 for around the upper bracket of the budget if you do a search - in stock for next day too. Has something in common with Weapon of Choice.

It's a good choice if you can get one, I had one in my build not so long ago, great performance
 
I'm also looking for a card around this price for my fiancee's build. Looking at the RX 580 too, almost ordered one but getting the impression that they run hot and loud. Anyone got much experience with these?
 
My 590 ran quite well temperature wise, it was louder than other GPU's I've had however I was told undervolting it would help temps and some noise but I never got round to it
 
I have just got my 590 8gig from OC, it was on sale last Wednesday £150 ( gone up quite a lot now ) I would sense stock is very low everywhere. Not bad performance on warzone at 1440p 75hz
