I've recently started Playing Battlefield V on My Vega 56 which is undervolted and overclocked to 1662/920 I have a Ryzen 5 2600 @ 4.1Ghz and 16GB or Ran @ 3066 Mhz

I'm experiencing slow downs during scenes with lots of debris particularly on the single player tank mission.

My CPU utilization is 48.7% GPU is 73% during the worst recorded dip. My system RAM usage doesn't exceed 10GB. Also the GPU temperature is hovering around 50C.

I've tried a few things including setting the windows power mode to best performance and setting my GPU to P7 state as the minimum neither of which helped.

Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks
Scott

I have been tweaking my Vega56 for the last couple of days and in F1 2019, RDR2 and Hitman 2, I had frame drops when I set P7 to be min and max. Eventually for gaming I have set P5 as min and P7 as max.
Another particular was, when I overclocked the core and memory in AMD Adrenalin 2020; the gpu never reached the target.
I have achieve the overclock targets for gpu and memory only when using overdriveNtool beta11.

Are you running Chill or Vsync On?

I don't reach the targets either Only getting to around 1440 core I thought that could be down to it not looking for full utilisation?

That said when I ran it in DX12 mode it was up to target.

Messing with Vega voltage and power states can get you negative speeds if they not setup correctly.

I would have monitor the HBM and core speed and see what they running at.

In my testing with Vega 64 it's all about the hot-spot and keeps the voltage floor running enough to keep the core speed otherwise it all goes horribly wrong.

Vega 56 should easy handle Battlefield 5 60fps 1440p

I turned on future frame rendering now my CPU usage has dropped to around 40% and my GPU is up above 95% I'm now able to maintain 60FPS even with the resolution scaled up to 120%

My gaming config is similar to yours. 1662/850 @ 1.05/1.074Volts. Temperature is 70 C and 74 with fan @ 50%. Maybe more important is: my vega56 takes 220Watts to 234Watts.

If you can install GPU-z and place here some snapshots for "Sensors" and "Advanced"
