i have have 3 ryzen CPU's in as many weeks, but a cheap 3600 popped up and i couldn't help but buy it.
i am now seeing mixed reviews with my motherboard and the 3000 line up.

Asrock B450m Pro4

i want to start by saying my system hits the 100fps monitor frame cap in the games i play, that taken into account if the 3600 doesn't play nice with my board is the performance boost i stand to make worth forking out on a new motherboard?

the board i have is only 4 weeks old.

CPU 1700x @ 4ghz all core
Ram 32gb trident z @ 3400Mhz
mobo Asrock B450m Pro4

is it worth giving to My brother

CPU 1700 @ 3.8 all core
Ram pending the Dominator Platinum we got doesn't fit under his cooler
mobo Asrock B450m steal legend

I have an ASRock AB350 Pro 4, the predecessor to your board. http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350 Pro4/

No issues what so ever with it running my 3600, just update the BIOS to the latest version and you will be fine.

The 3600 is definitely better than a 1700X for a pure gaming PC and that Asrock board might have had some bugs but I think the later bios releases should have fixed those by now.

Yer i have seen now looking the posts and what not are mostly from around launch of the 3000 line up.

I was using the 3600 you just bought on a B450M Pro4 across multiple bioses since July.

No problems with any of the bioses.

Just be aware you may struggle to get the FCLK stress test stable above 1600mhz without tweaking the voltages or timings (I didn't bother, left memory at 3200mhz).

Prior to that I've had a 1700X and 2600X and the 3600 is far better.

Knowing that makes me a lot happier, I know people only post the negative things but there was no reviews or the 2 working and a lot reporting problems.
