Msi b450 motherboard ram speed support.

so my cousin has bought ram and motherboard and cpu etc on my suggestion. When he hits the xmp profile it says his motherboard only support 3466 can he still just hit the 3600 setting and save it and it will all be fine?

Try it and see
Worst it will do is fail to boot or blue screen

I think the 3466 was for when the motherboards released with the older 2000 series CPUs as the memory controllers on those wasn't as good, if your using a 3000 series they should support ram speed up to 4133.
