Looking for advice on sub £1000 gaming pc

i've currently got my eyes on an i7 9600k, 16 gb of RAM and a RXT 2070 Super. I am looking to play games like Rainbow 6, overwatch and battlefield 5 and max settings and I was wondering if these choices were over the top or bad like AMD or Intel. Any advice would help. Thank you

Do you mean i5 9600K or the i7 9700k? .. I wouldn't say they are OTT components, They'll do the job you want them to for sure

No need to be sorry

Only problem buying 9th gen at the current price is the fact 10th gen is on the horizon and the 10600k is looking like a 6 core 12 thread instead of the current 6 core 6 thread processor... If you want to get your monies worth then Ryzen would be a good choice compared to the 9600k
