I need a new mount to go on the vent in my Auris. I like the mavity ones with autolock by Mpow, but you can't mount in landscape with those.

Has anyone got the Yosh magnetic disc one that seems popular, and is it any good?

Otherwise I'll need a standard ratchet type where you close the left and right arm to grip the phone.

I've used a Kenu Airframe (or rather, an imitation from eBay) for several years now. Simple, low profile, but sturdy and secure.

I have the Yoshi one you're referring too. Works perfectly, but where it attaches to the vents is quite chunky. If you have tightly spaced vent slats then you might find it spreads them.

Yosh here as well. Agree with above, quite chunky so make sure your vents can fit it. Excellent for the price.

I've found vents are too low, and glancing at phone is more distracting that having a mount at dash surface/windscreen level, you also sacrifice a vent;
so a stick on https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072SL74GY with a 3M pad, is a better option.

.. pity about rhd cars in the uk, since if phone is in centre you have to use non dominant hand, or, squash it in on the right

Yeah, in the end I didn't go for the magnetic one simply because my case is one of those vinyl book/wallet types and I realised it wouldn't work with it at all. I'd have to remove the case each time.
