Bluescreened and now stuck on "Updating Bios", Asus Z97 Gryphon Armor

PC was sitting Idle with Minecraft running in the background. It blue screened and it got stuck on 0% for sending the crash report.

So I had to force shutdown.

Now when I try to boot I am stuck on "Updating Bios". I've tried the bios flashback with 3 different versions as per instructed in the manual. Nothing. I've stripped the entire machine back to the bare board, cleaned, repasted, new CMOS battery, ran it with no hardrives in and tested each RAM stick.

Still the same. I have a funny feeling whatever has happened, has bricked the board.

Any ideas?
 
Could try a bootable freedos usb
And a force bios flash from it
Got me out of trouble with my gigabyte board
I used efi flash though I don't know if works on Asus boards
Though no idea if bootable usb will bypass where you are stuck at
 
Is it the z97 m-atx gryphon armour? I don't know how to get round a corrupted BIOS other than replace the chip. Fortunately it looks like yours just has an easy replaceable chip that you can buy of a popular auction site and it just slots in

That is the board correct. Where can i find this chip on the board? Got a manual reference page?
 
Try reprogramme Bios with usb stick first before spending money. Its easy and quick.

Will post link to video as soon as i have chance.
