Asus B450-F DRAM light after shut down overnight

I just built this new system and everything works except this one odd thing. Every morning when I go to turn on my PC, the motherboard's debug light for DRAM lights up and the system doesn't POST. The power button doesn't respond (except to long press) and the issue continues until I power cycle the PSU. I'm pretty sure this issue doesn't occur unless I leave the system shut down for a while. Any ideas?

I'll run memtest overnight to see what happens, but I doubt the memory is actually faulty. I'm running it at specified clocks & speed.

Specs:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600X
  • Mobo: Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING
  • SSD: Intel 665p Series M.2 2280 1TB
  • RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 F4-3600C16D-16GVKC
  • GPU: Sapphire RX 580 4GB NITRO+
  • PSU: EVGA 750GQ

I think it did at stock too. Bear in mind that stock RAM voltage was less than spec at 1.25V
Memtest completed with no errors, but since playing with that I have some new information. The issue doesn't only occur after being off for a while and power cycling the PSU is not necessary to POST (after the issue occurs).
Perhaps it's just a random chance to happen, but it did happen every morning.

Okay I've tried it on stock speeds. This issue does not occur on stock RAM settings (much slower [email protected]). But I don't get any issues while running the system, so I don't think the RAM is at fault (right?)
It's probably just that the xmp setting isn't stable then, I would start by increasing Dram voltage. It should be 1.35 when you set xmp but try manually setting it to 1.40 and see if this fixes it.

[email protected] still had the issue. I dropped the frequency to 3400MHz and that seemed to be even worse.
Am I doing something wrong with setting this overclock? I'm leaving everything on Auto except for DRAM frequency and voltage, and setting DOCP to Manual. DOCP also has the option to use XMP which is what I was on originally with the fault.

Can you set the XMP and then adjust Dram volts?.
Double check gear down mode is on.
If you have ryzen master installed then load it up and take a pic showing all the ram timings and voltages then post it here and will have a look to make sure nothing seems amiss.

Long shot here but I just built an ITX PC and having the exact same problem with my ASUS B550I mobo. Orange DRAM light on trying to boot in the morning after being completely fine the day before. DCOP settings seem to cause this. Did you find a solution? Tried upping the DRAM voltage to 1.4 with the same issue. Doesn’t happen on stock speeds. Guessing it’s the DCOP isn’t stable? But I didn’t have this issue on a previous MSI motherboard?

Hi, interestingly I just had this exact thing happen to me. I have the same board and 3600mhz ram.

Except it happened while I was using the PC, I turn it on and off and its working fine again.
