So randomly started getting greenscreens today while playing games on my pc. My monotor will flicker black for a few seconds then go green and then back to normal still running the game. My set up:
Ryzen 5 1600(overclockedto 3.7 +0.015 volts passed 8 hour realbench etc been playing last while no probs) - stock cooler
Rx580 red devil 8gb(has overclock switch activated on it but otherwise not touched) - bought it pre owned about a month ago so thats a concern.
Asus prime b450m atx mobo
Seasonic gold core 550w psu
Corsair vengence 16gb (2x 8gb stick)

Other info:
Drivers updated two days ago for gpu(maybe cause?)
Temps. For cpu while gaming sit around 70
Temps for gpu peaked at 79 but tabbing out of game after glitch and it was sitting in 60s.

Any suggestions? I have screenshotted the greenscreen on windows so i can upload that if its any help.

Appreciate thd help thanks

70 and 79 are a bit high. Clean your fans and maybe repaste CPU.

Did the problem start right after you updated drivers?

70 is a bit high for a cpu to be running under full load? What everyone ive asked or seen says 70-80 and the gpu never breaks 80 and was running 65ish during the glitches. I really cant imagine its due to high temp stress. It sesms to have but havent seen any reports of greenscreen since update

Well no harm in cleaning fans yeh it's not that high but edging toward it and a hot cpu will really slow your PC.

Try another driver?

Do you mean just solid green? Or green artifacts?

Green artifacts used to indicate memory issues on the graphics card. I don't know if that still applies.
Also getting a lot of issues with one colour used to be caused by the monitor cable not making a good connection on all pins.
I can't remember if this was on VGA cables only so not sure if it applies to digital inputs.

Can we see the image...

Ok so i just went on amd website and dowbloaded 20.4.2 which was previously the driver i was using that worked fine. I clicked to do a factor reset so to remove all previous drivers and install to it and during install turned a flashing green and stayed like that flashing rwally quickly till i killed the power?

Turned pc back on it continued to install older driver. When i restarted after installation it flickered greenscreen again for a few seconds then opened windows desktop as normal with the older driver now installed. Ill see if the issue persists cause i have no idea whats going on now

Do you have a different monitor cable to try?

70 and 79 degrees are perfectly normal temps and are no way "a bit high". I would run CPU everything at stock and see if it still occurs. Could be a faulty GPU though. Is it only doing it when running a 3d application?

It was running through an hdmi from the gpu to monitor. It started off when playing games which made me think it qas being over stressed. It then did it when i was trying to reinstall an older driver. It hasnt happened since i got the older driver installed and restarted the pc. Keeping an eye out for any other reports of greenscreens with this update

I was under the impression my temps were fine too tbh. I havent changed the monitor / lead as this is my first build so no spares hanging about but its fine atm. I think it's a driver bug tbh.
