Hi,
I'm hoping I can get some advice on a problem that I've been experiencing for a while now.

Currently using a 1070Ti with two (1440p) monitors connected via DisplayPort and a 4K TV connected via HDMI. The monitors have built in speakers as does the TV.

Windows 10 is a clean install and the audio appears fine with the default Nvidia drivers Windows installs. However as soon as I install the latest Nvidia drivers I lose all my audio. I appreciate I can only have audio from one monitor/tv at any one time. I have restarted the PC and even used DDU to clear all traces of the drivers to no avail. Device manager looks fine and my monitors/TV are all being detected.

Any ideas?

Have you checked to make sure its the default ?, as windows has a habbit of swapping your audio over.

That's very likely the culprit thinking about it, when I update drivers on my Nvidia card they often default to my monitor's built in speakers, even though I'd previously disabled it.

Windows Control Panel > Sound, see what the Default Device is, as may have been switched, or, right click on the Speaker icon down by the Clock > Open Sound Settings, Choose Your Output Device.

Thanks for the explanation. All appears fine

I ended up rolling back to 442.74 as this uses the sound driver version 1.3.38.21. The last two Nvidia drivers use sound driver version 1.3.38.26 which seem to be causing the issues.

I'm glad you've managed to sort out the issue. Here's hoping they fix the issue with the newer audio driver, may be worth reporting your problems.
