Stock cooler or new one?

Hello all

been looking at coolers over the last few days and need some advice. Currently running the 3600x and was wondering what would be the best cooler to get? My case is -https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kolink-void-rgb-midi-tower-case-black-window-ca-04l-kk.html

What sort of temps are you getting with the stock? I'm going to say near mid 70's maybe?

What sort of budget would you like to spend on a new cooler?

Currently 72ish. Just looking for suggestions really for my case and MB(if that effects anything?) but if I was to budget it I’d say £100 is max maybe slightly higher depending on the product

At that budget I'd consider the BeQuiet Dark Rock 4, the Noctua Nh-D15 is a highly recommended cooler but near on £100...

What is the PC used for? Gaming?

Yeah pretty much just gaming currently. Hopefully streaming further down the line. I’ve heard good things about Noctua. Just needed advice as I’m new to this and it was my first build so needed to check the dimensions and compatibility with everything

Spending £100 on a heatsink for a 3600X is massive overkill to be honest, something like a Mugen 5 or Shadow Rock 3 would be ample.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

1 x be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 High Performance CPU Cooler= £44.99
1 x Scythe SCMG-5100 Mugen 5 Rev.B CPU Cooler= £42.95

Total: £87.94 (includes shipping: £0.00)

I'd happily run a 3900X on either of the above, let alone a 3600.

I'd say £100 was excessive - you may as well have bought a 3700x and got the better "stock" cooler with it

Just checked the Noctua NH-D15 and it's 1mm to big for you case :eek:

the thing is huge

Would you consider an All in One liquid cooler

I’d consider liquid cooling too.

ahh okay thank you for all the suggestions I’ve heard good things about the mugan 5 too.
