Flashing BIOS on MSI 2080 Super Ventus OC

i did try that aswell actually
but didnt do anything different unfortunately :(
not moaning its still plenty of performance but
would never say no to free performance :D
yeah free performance boost is always good
just ran the oc scanner
had power and voltage at max
but only got 15mhz more than at default power and voltages
lol guess theres a point your card just
wont go past without exotic cooling and crazy voltages lol

That's weird, but then I would bet the other bios would be better with lower temps, iirc every 2 degrees over 40.c you lose 5mhz or something similar to that with the nvidia hard wired boost thingy.
There is also the algorithm for power so maybe it assumes that if it boost higher the temps would be higher and then it would throttle anyway.
Then again your silicon may be such that that's just your limit.
I know on my 2080ti evga black it is about 40.c and can hit 2175 at its pea , and that's a b chip, but a very lucky good one and that is a +%12 power limit

I'll certainly try it again once its under water :)

thanks for all of your help

yeah obviously once you water cool it
you will get a really big temperature drop
an hours benchmark i sit around 45c
so probably you will get a different result once you lower temps
i am not complaining with 2100mhz on my 2080ti :)
at default power and voltage
only getting 2115mhz upping power and voltage kind of tells me
its at its limit anyway
didnt want a kfa2 card but theres a very long story why i ended up with one lol
