MBP 2020 13 Inch

Hey guys am completely new to Mac and I picked up the new 10th gen mcp 13inch.

My question is are all four thunderbolt 3 ports full speed or do some of them drop?

Being new to Mac my friend told me often two thunderbolt ports drop bandwidth or are lower bandwidth but it seems the new Intel’s have plenty of lanes. Thank you !

I think one of the older Macbooks did this, but not for a number of years now.

I believe they all run at full speed but I think the pair on each side share the bandwidth available as there are 2 controllers iirc. So in theory of your have say 2 high spend SSDs or an external GPU you should plug one in each side of the laptop.

Thunderbolt is so fast you probably wouldn't notice much difference with most devices though.
