Hello,

Just bought me a cable Nimaso Usb-C to USB-C which claims can do 100W charging and 10Gbps transfer.

I bought it to use my phone for faster transfers and charging while on the pc.

But seems it doesn't fast charge my phone at all. A normal UsbA to UsbC cable on the front USB3.0 actually charges fast ( i think does 9Vx2A instead of the super duper fast charge that Huawei supports but i am ok with that) using the turbo charge utility.

Phone: Huawei Mate 20 X 5G version. Came with a Usb A to Type C cable but i read that its slow in transfers (480mbps) and it is when trying to transfer a large file. So i was like well i have 2 USB-c 's sitting might as well use them.

I have a X570 Aorus Master and case C700p. The mobo has a utility for the 2 x USBA 3.0 at the front for fast charging, do i need something similar for USB-C i don't see anything and i am worried the cable might be crap.

Any ideas?

What happens when you plug it into the usb c on the motherboard I/O panel? Guessing the internal usb header doesn’t support the feature you’re talking about.

Have you checked any apps that come with the board? Maybe you have to enable it somewhere?
Well their so called turbocharged usb app is for only 2 of the front usbA 3.0s I tried enabling both to see if the usb c would do it as well but nothing. Since this is my first pc with USB C and phone with USB C I am not really familiar and was wondering if there was an app for it

FYI for someone having the same question like me I contacted Gigabyte's support and following is their answer....

"Dear customer,

We apologize that we don't have USB turbocharge app for typec.

For huawei, please try to buy a cable of the same brand , that's better.

Thanks

Best Regards".

Whats the point in having 2 usb-c's then dear Gigabyte and promote it on your marketing all over the box? just for transfering data? Jeez i would think since 2008 when i built my previous pc we would have moved on on USB matters... Oh well i will use the USBA for turbocharging and usb-c for fast transfers...
