Newly Built Computer - Sleep Problem.

I just built a new computer. It works very well but last night for the first time when I put it into sleep, the monitor went black but the computer didn't go into sleep properly .The fan was still running and lights on in the case; I had to do a hard reset because I also couldn't get the screen back on.

I was playing a game, Alien Isolation just before, with a beta version of an Xbox/PC program so I'm presuming it's that but I have used it for the last few days with no problems.

Should I be worried? Or is this expected sometimes with certain programs not working properly or could there be something wrong with my build?

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be my issue. Theirs is all the time. I will look deeper into that but it was just the once.

Update the bios, was bug in old bios with sleep issues, had same thing on my tomahawk max with 3600x, will work after updating

I just put on the newest BIOS. I did update it to the what was the latest last week so I would have hoped that would have sorted it

. I just looked and there is now a newer one so just flashed so will see how it goes.

Ah I assumed you had bios from last year as the two Max boards had issue with sleep with them. Let me know if fixes though.

Will do mate. Atm its all working okay, I played Alien Isolation again which after that it didn't sleep properly before, it was okay now. I'll see what happens tonight
