So the Hong Kong PSN store seem to have leaked Far Cry 6, release date listed as 18th February 2021.

Hopefully it's a little less stale than Far cry 5 ended up. As I enjoyed the journey but by the end of the game I was sick of being harassed by the enemy every 30 seconds. Expect them to announce this at their event tomorrow.

LOL, I never saw this and posted in the PS5 topic - the image I used seems to be a proper English version if you want to update your post @antijoke

Anyhoo, it does sound decent - largest Far Cry map yet has me quite excited and it should have a nice Far Cry 3 feel with the same kind of environments - islands, palm trees, etc.
 
Wasn’t a fan of 4 or 5. Something missing that I can’t put my finger on.

Will still purchase this on release.
 
It worries me that they highlight a big map as a main highlight. Bigger really isn't always better especially with repetitive Ubisoft collectathons.

Side note. Tempted by FC5 for £7.50
 
I thought the trailer looked incredibly detailed. I understand its a rendered cut scene but it took me a while before i realised that it was actually CG rather than actual footage. It was the kids hair that really made me realise.
 
Loved the original, couldn't quite get away with FC2, adored FC3 - brilliant game and my favourite by a mile, FC4 was less good and FC5 was quite a bit less good.

I so want this to be amazing, but not a day 1 purchase for me this time around.
 
I imagine this will follow the generic open world Ubisoft formula.

Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon were the only 2 good FC games in recent times.
 
Reading about some rumours suggesting that a major character in this is a young Vaas from FC3 so it might be some kind of prequel. Vaas was a great villain so I'd be happy to know more about him.

Not bothered about playing 1 or 2 again. I loved 3, 4 and Primal. Couldn't get in to 5. Maybe I am just tired of the Ubi formula. I used to love the collecting but now it's all a bit meh for me. If the story in 6 turns out to be good I will give it a go, though.

Valid tbh, exactly how I feel about the AC series.
 
Hopefully it's more time to get it working beautifully on next-gen consoles. 4K60 for open world games is no mean feat.
 
It's been alluded to that it's because everyone is having to work remotely and it's slowing the process down a bit. FC5 looked nice this will get a big boost on next gen consoles I think - assuming they're still using the Dunia engine.
 
Heads up that this is on a free weekend from tonight at 6pm (Thursday) through to Sunday, on all platforms incl. Stadia if you didn't want to tackle the 90GB download.
 
I got this on release and hated it as enemies respawn far too quickly. They will respawn in a base you're trying to clear, see their own dead body and then alert everybody else :confused::rolleyes:
I was hoping the devs would have changed this but I've just checked and they haven't and have no plans to do so.
