Yeah. Being so dominate does make it less of a spectacle but there’s no doubting just how exceptional the machine they’re built is. It’s a team sport and it starts with the teams back in the factory designing and making a good engine and aero package. They’ve done that consistently and they’re reaping the benefits.

I don’t harbour any jealously/ill feelings towards them. Their car is an engineering masterpiece and that’s what Formula 1 is all about.

Yeah it is just a shame that the other teams just cannot keep up. They are a real juggernaut.

I can't recall exactly what it is but aren't the Mercs quicker due to a new aero upgrade? It's something they can adjust for corners? Is it legal? I thought some teams raised it as not meeting the regs.

I assume it's the Dual Axis Steering you're talking about. It's not aero, it's steering and it's completely legal. Stewards ruled it was legal after Red Bull protested in Austria.

Seriously impressive from the 4 Mercedes cars.

Really happy for Russell too.

People saying they aren't going to watch the race, why? There's still loads to see, even though there's a good chance a Mercedes will win, it's not just the winning that counts. I personally also want to see Hamilton smash every record there is. I want to see Russell drag that Williams to a position it has no right to be in.

Yeah, I don't get it either. There's a lot more to a race than who wins, and the midfield battles so far have been terrific.

Yep credit where credit is due, it's not their fault everyone else is lagging, very impressive.

I almost wish they hadn't deferred the rule changes to 2022. This and another season of 1 second gaps is going to be seriously dull.

Yeah it is just a shame that the other teams just cannot keep up. They are a real juggernaut.

Teams like Ferrari and Red Bull make a lot of noise, but they should be embarrassed by their performance over the last few years. Even with years of stability in the rules that should bring the teams closer together, Mercedes still manages to work hard and get out in front.

I think Mercedes deserve their success because they've always worked hard for it, never let up, never taken it for granted. The other teams are just being out-performed year after year.

Also, why does Lance Stroll sound like a quacking duck?

Last year's merc dominating the others
Kind of wish merc weren't in the sport. Would be amazing title challenge without them.

Good result for stroll. Be interesting to see if he can out race perez.

Terrible by Renault.
Red bull disappointing.
Albon Dissapoints, I believe he got held up, but it happens a lot.

Such a shame Bottas didn't get pole. If he doesn't get the overtake on lap one, Hamilton has it. That's why Hamilton is better. Hamilton can come from behind. Bottas has to be in front on lap 1.

Mercedes are amazing, I wish they weren't in the sport :D
