Hi,

We have a small front garden area which we would like to change. Does anyone here have rough idea of what it would cost to go from current to new? Thanks :)

It currently looks like this :

We would like something like this but without the storage area in the corner - just the low fence, gravel border, edge slabs and internal growing area.

from my understanding on garden renovations it's basically whatever figure you've guesstimated and double or triple it.

I’ve asked a local landscaper for a quote but thought I’d ask here too.

in terms of what I think it would cost:
How much do landscapers charge per day - £200? I’m thinking 5 days work so £1k
Materials - probably another £1.5k
So maybe £2.5k:confused:

Just to do the gravel it be about £1k assuming they dig down and add a solid base. You have not included getting rid of all the trees and soil.

Is it not better just use it for a extra parking space ?

Shame, looks like a nice little nature haven. Pruning the trees and bushes would do wonders.

I agree, it's always sad to see people removing greenery! Re-doing the lawn and landscaping it properly would make it look really nice. There's nothing to say this couldn't be done in a modern style.

We have double drive parking spaces and our son is 9 so won’t be driving for at least 8 years.

Another option we could do is remove / prune the trees and bushes, maybe just leaving the tree with the red berries, tidy up the grass area and install a low level fence.
This would fit in with the rest of the street.

We like this style of fence but keeping it low - 90cm : https://contemporaryfencing.com/index.php/product/cequence-slatted-fence-panel-square-edged-slats/
