I managed to break my iPad screen. Is it possible to replace these and still get Touch ID working ? I know it wasn’t possible on my iPhone 6S but maybe things have changed.

many recommendations for a screen ?

The only way it works again is if you pay Apple to replace it for you (they won't replace, they just give you a refurbished iPad). They'll charge you £250 for it so probably not worth it.

you use the original home button on the new screen.
