I noted there was only 1 5700 cards in overclockers stock. Looking at 5700 XT - 1 card is out of stock and 2 only have 1 unit. It made me wonder if they're EOL and if 6700 is around the corner.

Could be. There was a rumour that AMD were bringing out a couple of Big Navi cards and refreshing cards further down. That could mean "new" 5700s with slightly increased clock speeds and a new name.

AMD have registered trademarket on 5750, 5750XT, 5650XT etc, so there's a good chance we'll see a frefresh line up using the xx50 nomenclature to go with the what we are assuming will be 5800/5900 (XT) cards.

Rx 5700 is in a weird place, it can be same price as 5700 xt and hugly more than rx 5600xt, probably its more expensive to make than rx 5600xt but 8GB vram sounds better than 6GB. Make 5650xt give it 8Gb add 10% performance and call it a day oh wait that's 5700

I thought that was one of the AIBs who did that, essentially covering all bases in case AMD released other cards in the 5000 series...

I wonder if there will be a big enough upgrade from vega64 this time..

Since the prices went silly I'm on a 3-4 year upgrade cycle now. Seems like GPU manufacturers are too :p

Yeah for me, Vega to 5700 isnt a good enough upgrade for what it would cost. Hoping one of the new cards in the £400-500 mark is a meaty improvement.

I would guess it's more to do with shortages in the supply chain, same as PSU's (which I presume aren't being phased out :D). PSU prices have gone insane due to it from what I've seen. Wonder if the bite will start to hit GPU's seriously too.

They've had shortages since launch. It's a matter of not enough dies and a healthy demand. Not EOL at all, and the only thing coming this year will be GPUs above them, not replacements.

I would imagine that the 5700 and 5600 cards will be relabelled and move down to the low end and Navi 2 cards will be the mid range and high end of AMD's lineup. So I think the current shortages are just that shortages and not a sign of EOL.

No, the die shortages and with the new cpu and gpu upcoming they will move the 5700 series down a tier and raise the new Big navi line and ryzen 4000 series.
The likely cause atm is sold out due to demand. ;)

More likely it's capacity at TSMC, new 4000 CPU's and xbox/ps5 is probably accounting for the majority of the allocation AMD has.
