Hi,

I've been trying to keep an eye on this but since we moved last christmas we found out our water company had created multi accounts in our name(s) for the same supply. one for each of us, one for both of us and some more duplicates.

on my credit report I have 1 current up to date account, 3 defaulted and 6 closed all from 2017.

Is there anything I can do to remove them because it seems to have knocked my score below 400 blody hundred. I only have 2 other open accounts and both are my bank current account which are up to date.

I had this when i disputed a bill with Thames water, they put my account into default as i refused to pay an incorrect enormous bill.

Once i discovered this, only by chance via clearscore, i called their CS and raised a complaint. To be fair to them they escalated it quickly and it was removed from my file with a letter of explanation and a credit as an apology.

Tbh I should've clocked on earlier, they would often say "we need to send a letter to the account holders address", "can you name the other person on the account" and then "we need to add your partner to the account".

Lets hope it's as easy as letting them know, it shouldn't have been this hard since I pay monthly on the site to the same account for 3 years.

Write to them once or twice then right s letter regarding legal action. Companies keep messing up and getting away with it.
