Just for a bit of clarification or just to tell me I am right or wrong lol I have just brought the new lian li 2 mesh rgb case and also 5 artic p12 fans which have splitters on the end of each one, my motherboard is the msi b450 tomohawk max.
Now the manual says I have 4 sys_fan slots and one cpu_fan slot the total fans I have is 8, 3 are already pre installed in the front of the case and are rgb (if that makes a difference ) and then I have those 5 p12s.
So i shouldnt need a fan splitter to fit all these should I? as my calculations would be
1. cpu fan cooler in the cpu slot
2. 3 front rgb fans in sys_fan slot 1 2 and 3 (or dependent on whats closest port)
3. The last sys_fan slot for one of the p12s
4. The remaining fans linking by the splitters coming off the last sys_fan port with the first p12 fan

Hope that was described enough

I have the max, there are 6 4 pin Fan ports not 5 (CPU, Pump, Sys fans 1-4)
The CPU fan is at the top of the board
the Pump, & sys fans 3&4 are on the RH side of the board (3&4 are each side of the 24pin ATX power socket)
Sys fan 2 is at the bottom of the board
Sys fan 1 is behind the Rear I/O ports

CPU & pump ports are PWM by default
Sys fan ports are DC mode by default

I believe you can change all of them to either mode in the Bios.

I would think that:
1. CPU = yep do that most obvious.
2. Front RGB into pump, Sys fans 3&4
3. Depending if the Artic fans are PWM PST (They share the PWM info from the board) if its possible 2 fans per socket, though the Sys fan port 1 is the most awkward fan port on the board. I'd plug the rear exhaust P12 & one of the top P12s (together) into that one. You might need a fan extension lead for Sys fan 2 if the other 2 P12's are at the top of the case.

Glad I got cpu right haha, I thought the pump would have been just for like a water pump shows what I know.

The fans are pwm pst so thats good and I would have thought rgb on the right side of board as that's whats closest plus I have 2 on bottom which could go sys 2 as thats at the bottom to and rear exhuast sys fan 1 if that makes sense
