So I recently upgraded my rig to a Ryzen 3600, 16gb 3200mhz Corsair Pro Vengeance, however I'm still running my EVGA 970 ACX, which is showing its age. I currently run a 4k 60hz monitor (mostly played on my Xbox One X until now), but I'm thinking about switching to 144hz and also getting a new card? I know most people say wait for the newer cards but what would be a decent card in the price range of £250-£350.

Just wait Nvidia release new cards next month.
I hope they do.
If they launches one top model like 3080 ti for 1000+

Then it will be like Ferrari launches new model. All good and well but only 1% can afford it.

I think it might not be such a big deal price wise on lower cards. I hope I'm wrong.

Gamer Nexus confirmed rumours that some manufacturers stopped making 2070 super.
But some still do and in huge volumes.
What can that mean.?

Still going to be better waiting more deals on last gen cards etc. It’s his money but now is the worse time to buy.

Lol then wait and pick one up second hand but to be honest it doesn’t bother me what you do. Go get a loan and buy a new one :D.

You won't get a £300 Ampere card this year however if you're prepared to buy second hand desperate buyers for Ampere will be flogging their cards on the cheap.... hopefully get a 1080 Ti/2070 SUPER for £300 or so in the coming weeks.

Both a fantastic upgrade from the 970.

Seen a Gigabyte 5700XT for £350 online or do people lean more towards Nvidia still? Could also sell my 970 for around the £80~ mark towards.

The 5700 series sold well. However early driver issues swayed a few back to Nvidia which is a shame as from what i read on here earlier, the performance of the 5700 has increased with recent drivers.

As others have said wait, you've waited a long time so waiting three months for the dust to settle and all to become clear from both Nvidia and AMD would be the wise move.
