NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

This time around RTX will be where it should have launched with originally.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. RTX on the 20 series was just a taster or demo. I'm not sure that RTX on the 30 series will be good enough for mainstream use - that, I think will come with the next generation of GPUs. I will primarily be interested in raster pereformance; RT will be a bonus.

As for pricing, I think people are having a laugh mooting such high prices. This time around there is competition, in the same space from AMD and in the wider gaming space from the consoles, and Nvidia will have to adjust. They may try early on, but will have to reduce prices when the consoles appear. Remember that to be considered, a competitor has to be good enough, not better.

RT in the way people expect wont even be ready in next gen cards either. But at least with Ampere I am hoping enabling RT will not mean hugely crippling fps like it does with Turing. Also this time around DLSS will actually be decent.

Yea, I am tempted to wait and not buy on release and pick one up around the time both consoles and big navi hits. Might end up being cheaper, but my guess is Nvidia will price aggressively from the start and maintain pricing, as they will want to make use of the advantage of releasing early to scoop up as much sales as possible.

Geforce Gaming has now got dial up access.

Yea, been there many times with AMD so I am well prepared personally :D

Yeah I was thinking of holding off until AMD cards are released as there will likely be an uplift in the first couple of months with no competition.

Wow. A dial-up modem handshake. Has anyone decoded the numbers at the start?

Look below!

LOST you have much to answer for!:p

Don't worry, Nvidia will have something soon that will enable you to render the pages fast enough....even with RTX On.......maybe :p
With DLSS on OFC. Getting Beef Teriaki instead of Kung Pow Chicken was because the menu got DLSSed.

Is that a real telephone number anywhere? Isn't 1 the code for dialing internationally from the US? And 57 is the country code for Columbia.

So we get 1-57-02-34-00-03. Is that a real Columbian telephone number?
