Honda Civic Options

Hi All
I am looking for a cheap run around , Small, Economical, Cheap to Insure and should be Automatic. Change in circumstances being made redundant recently need to terminate lease car i am on. I remember someone on here posting about the Civic they have

Not sure civic == small either, surely more honda jazz territory?

Maybe me? Blue, 1.8 Auto? I got recommended that for a first car because of the reliability, vfm and general suitability for my budget and intended usage - was about £5.5k for a 2011 high-spec model with about 44k miles on the clock.

- Small? Not really, although the 2012 and 2017 models are even bigger.

- Cheap to run/insure? I haven't had anything needed to be done with it other than replacing a few bulbs and odds and sods when it's been MOT'd. The MPG is only average (maybe the 1.4 would be better but the 1.8 itself is a bit of a bus). As far as insurance, I think it was more the insurer than the car (and even after a couple of years they've still been cheaper than everyone else).

I'm not much of a petrol head but if you just need a cheap runaround there are probably better options, unless you don't want to be seen dead in a Yaris or something.

Yes i was looking at around 4k just needed to be an Auto box with reasonable economy

Ok. Don’t get the i-Shift ones, you want the proper CVT. Quick AT check shows there aren’t that many under £5k (although obviously it’s just the display price):
