Wonder if anyone else has encountered this? On going to open the hatch to remove the weekly shopping, I noticed that the "SPORTAGE" lettering has started to come away. In fact the "SP" has already fallen off leaving the glue on the paintwork and the "OR" looks to be next, hanging loose. The vehicle hasn't been through a car wash, I haven't backed into any bushes and AFAIK no one has vandalised it.

The assumption has to be the combination of the recent very hot spell, on the blue bodywork has been enough to melt the glue and the subsequent thunderstorm deluge has dislodged the lettering. Obviously cheap glue...

The car is due for service/first MOT in about three weeks so wonder how I stand to get this fixed under warranty? Purely cosmetic so I'm not about to fund a repair myself, even if it does make the back of the car look like a 12 year old chav heap.

Also makes you wonder what other corners Kia have cut to save costs, if they can't even attach the model name with heat resistant glue!

I would imagine you would be fine to get it fixed under warranty. If my experience with Kia is anything to go by, then you'll have no issues at all.

If you let them fall off, you can glue back on many potential new words, due to the amazing anagram potential. In line with above, I would chose 'TOERAGS'.

Sorry I have nothing useful to offer on warranty information. I would call a dealer.

This, or stick a V12 badge on it to impress the birds.

My ex's dad lives in Cyprus, he bought as new Sportage in August 2015, all the "stuck on" badges glue melted within a few days and fell off, he has left them off.
