Hi guys so i think my laptop is due for a cleaning and i have never attempted to take apart the backside of the laptop.
the warranty is gone now but i want to attempt to take off the backside and unscrew the hardware so i can clean myself. is there any tool i can use to do this to make the procedure easier for popping off the backside of the laptop as it seems after unscrewing the screws it takes a little bit of pressure around all sides to pop off the backside. also does anyone recommend a tool to take out the keys of my laptop so i can replace the switches maybe?.

appreciate any feedback thank you :)
hope i didn't sound confusing

If you dont have a plastic tool for opening the laptop i think a guitar pick is the most common thing used.

Basically anything plastic with a thin edge can be used, i've used an old credit card in the past and that worked well.

buy a precision screwdriver kit, can get on amazon. Touch the radiator before doing anything as a static precaution. Also get an Electrical contact cleaner to get rid of all the gunk you will find under the lid - make sure the battery and power is removed of course, hold down the power button about 20 or 30 seconds to remove any stray power lingering on the main board once the battery is off.

I never damaged a laptop and have done some serious enough surgery, if you take your time it should be fine. Remove the fans and clean all the vent holes, reassemble.

if you are brave apply new thermal compound
