My current phone is a Huawei P10 which I've had 3 years now, just recently its started to play up - not responding, turning itself off with plenty of charge and the fingerprint sensor not unlocking it.

So its time to move on. Contract wise I'm on a sim only deal and not looking at going contract so buying a phone outright is the plan but I also dont want to be dropping £1k on a phone.

I can't think why but the way I use a mobile has changed massively over the last 6 months /s

I've finally narrowed it down to the Oneplus Nord or the Iphone SE.

Money wise they're pretty similar, both have pluses and minuses on spec, I've read loads of reviews and the threads on here too. But really after some opinions from people with them. So if you have one of them what are your opinion?

What makes you recommend (or not) the Nord or the SE?

help me make up my mind on one or the other, the reviews make it hard to chose so hoping some real life user experiences will help.

Thanks for reading :)

You’ve picked perhaps two of the most different phones imaginable, price excepted. The most obvious difference as mentioned above is iOS vs Android. After that comes screen size. The SE is perfect for one handed use, the Nord not so much.

Is there a reason why you’ve ruled out the Pixel 4a? That’s a closer match to both the Nord and the SE.

Edit - personally I’d get the SE on the basis that I’m currently preferring what iOS has to offer (I like both operating systems) and the size is better for my personal use case.

Well, the real question is do you want iOS or Android?

They'll both be excellent phones, it's just a case of which OS you want to use.

yeah, I think that’s part the problem, I’ve got an android personal phone and a iPhone 6s work pho e. There are bits of both OS I like

I read the reviews of the 4a and just didn’t like what I read about it. Specifically the comments about it feeling a cheap quality and also the battery life. I liked the camera reviews but I basically use the phone camera for when I spot something on my commute. If I want to do a photo day I have my DSLR.

the screen of the Nord does look better....

The SE design is too aged for me to ever consider buying in 2020

If youre not fussed on camera and size the Nord seems a clear winner to me.
