Need a bit of advice. I was set on getting a AMD TR system but the bank manager has allocated funds to other things .
So as things stand, I have £400(can stretch to £500) to spend on a base system. I have M/KB/Monitor/SSD and a 1060GPU. What i need is a CPU/MB/RAM/PSU combo to transplant into my existing case.

I'm thinking of getting a cheaper processor now and then at a later date when the new AMD Zen3's get released to get an older 3950x or the new Zen3 equivalent.

For gaming performance do you recommend 3300 or the 3600? Gaming at 1080p mainly warzone. I think the diff between the two processors is ~£70 on external sites. Am coming from an i7-920.

Should I go for x570 MB or are the B450's good enough?

4 cores v 6 cores, long term 6 cores will have the edge depending on games that use more than 4 cores.

A b450 motherboard would certainly do is cost effective and will support zen 3 .

Make sure it has support for new CPUs (like MSI MAX) if you go B450.

It doesn't really matter much right now, if you're planning to replace it. If you were keeping it long-term then I'd say 3600. If newer games start to hammer quad cores, this might have an impact on re-sale value, though the 3300X will still be relatively fast.

So in the end i went for the below. I managed to get a Corsair 750x PSU elsewhere for £100. I think this should be good for a fair while(current PC is about 11 years old now :-). PSU should be good for the next gen GPU's too no?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £686.62 (includes shipping: £11.70)

Nice .

Is your 1060 the 3gb version if so that would be next to upgrade.

Luckily its the 6gb version, so it should be good for my Warzone stints for the foreseeable future. I'll see what the next gen GPU's bring in terms of performance vs price. I may just wait it out a little bit and pick up a 2080s/5700XT at lower price ~£200/300 maybe

Cheers guys for your help n advice!

Nice system, you'll like it.

Everything has arrived - but i have to say the case is absolute trash. I cant place the MB because the back fan is blocking it from fitting. Missing some MB standoffs that screw to the case to hold the motherboard. Compared to my Cooler Master HAF - it looks positively flimsy.

Bit surprised at that for 70 quid, for that price I'd expect some level of quality. I know it's not expensive either, but it isn't a 30-40 quid case.
