After my Asus laptop packed in after 6 months ownership, I've ended up purchasing a XMG Core 17 laptop.

The spec is:

Ryzen 4800H
RTX 2060 (Refresh + Boosted)
16GB Crucial 3200 memory
95% sRGB 144Hz IPS panel

Any benchmarks I should run to see how it performs?

Play the new flight sim see how that runs. Other than that just play some games and enjoy don't spend all your time running benchmarks.

How did you get it so cheap?

Even without a ssd your listed config is over £1300 on their website

When I signed up to their newsletter, there was a €50 off code. Also when I purchased, due to Germany's vat changing, they reimbursed the customer the difference. I also sold my game code bundle I received when ordering with the RTX card.

nice lookling laptop, im really interested in the new ryzen laptops.. get benching :D

It's pretty impressive to be fair!
Really liking the performance of it.
One thing I've noticed is that I seem to get higher fps when running in office/quiet mode than I do in boosted mode.

Maybe it has a set limit for combined wattage between the cpu and gpu and while in that mode the cpu will be running less wattage so it pumps it into the gpu.

You could see what afterburner is saying the wattages are in each mode to see if it is.

I'm led to believe you can't monitor the wattage correctly through software, it has to be done through a watt meter as a hardware mod has been done.

Oh yeah it's one of those electro boost models.

Afterburner will still tell you the cpu wattage and if it's a lot lower in office mode it probably will be shifting wattage to the gpu I'd say.

Been hitting some games with it and it appears my GPU temps don't go much above 65deg. Pretty happy with that.

I'll need to try a CPU&GPU stress test to see what happens.
