So we're off to Wales this weekend and the forecast is looking miserable. We can't get anywhere near decent enough connection down there to stream anything put my PlayStation is there to play Blu Rays on. Annoyingly, they never released a UK version of Fargo S2 on Blu Ray...

My question, can I purchase season 2 digitally using any platform and have it downloaded onto the device without it needing a connection to test the registration or whatever it might need to do?

You can probably only download to mobiles/tablets. I would say you can do that and then try to mirror but they may block that with DRM. Using hdmi out to the TV is probably the least likely method to be blocked.

It does have one yes, but as @Scam said, offline download may be limited to mobile devices :/

Just tried netflix on the TV, no download option but have got download on my phone.

Watch on iPad if you have one.

Amazon prime has it to buy digitally but its £14.99 for S2, unsure where you would be able to download to. Expect similar restrictions.

Damn... assume it's the same for the PS4 app as well then :/

I think I'm just going to download them to my IPad and mirror it to my TV via an adapter. Does anyone know if they'll be any image scaling issues? Or indeed whether there'll be some kind of DRM block?

Where are you getting your forcast from? It's wall to wall sunshine on Saturday on the XCWeather site. Sunday not looking bad either.

iPad to TV works fine through an hdmi adaptor, we use it when we’re up at the coast. It used to have a scalling issues but they seem to have fixed that in the apps now, or maybe that’s as we got a newer TV for there - can’t remember how those times stack up. Only issue is sometimes it can be a little “jittery” like its having a HZ mismatch but mostly it’s fine and certainly no issues to watch.

So in summary, yes it’s fine
