Sure looks nice for clear tubing when new but must leech like all others as there's always stuff on the micro channels.

This is using their own X1 coolant (DIY not premix).

What's all the hype with this stuff looking like glass, for a few weeks maybe.

Don't get it.

i have used mayhems clear for the last 9 months and have still got clear tubes. to be fair i am using distilled water with biocide and corrosive inhibitor. only ever had the cloudy issue with premixed coolants :(

Interesting. I wonder how just distilled will be then.

most premix will use propylene glycol and most clear tubing will go cloudy over time as plasticiser is leached for the tubing. distilled is just pure water and pure water doesn't leach plasticiser nearly half as much (i think 75% less maybe) as propylene glycol will. The only benefit of propylene glycol is the lubrication it can provide to the pump/moving parts.

my system has two loops. One had Mayhems UV Blue and the other Mayhems UV Green. entire loops on Mayhems clear 10/16 tube.

All were flushed out etc and after about 9 months the green loop started to go cloudy. I replaced the tubing, flushed etc and again used the UV Green. Within a few months you could see it starting to cloud up again so I replaced the tubing again, flushed etc and went with UV Blue. To this day nearly 2 years on, the blue loop is still clear.

not going with the UV Green ever again thats for sure.

some of the chemicals used in premix for the colour can accelerate the leaching as ploppy has experienced. it's not nice but some people get lucky with certain premixes. i used ek cryofuel before on mayhems clear tubing and went lightly cloudy in around 3 months. distilled water is the way to go when using clear tubing ;)
