I'm not going to continue with you when it took you all of two posts to try and attack my character, rather than my argument. Instant loose for you. You make a lot of assumptions - if I were you I'd work on listening a little more before you do so in the future.
I was accused of "emotional attachment" (to my money, presumably!) but I think it's quite clear there are a few cases here of emotional attachment to, well, either nVidia or the very idea of unrestrained profiteering.

I struggle to comprehend those people who would deliberately advocate for consumers getting less for their money. To the point of calling it consumer greed... /boggle. Fine if we were discussing a £150 GPU, but the models most discussed are going to be £800 or so..

And you're wrong.

So you don't think you should get more performance for less money then?

Way to wildly misrepresent my argument. I never said any of that.

But yes, if you think you are entitled to more performance for less money and complain that you don't get it and that nvidia's shareholders are...sniff...making money!!! Then yes you are greedy and lack self awareness.

Yeah totally agree. Imagine what would happen if price/performance stagnated forever more? Virtually everybody would be priced out of the industry eventually. What would it mean for 4090 prices? 3 grand? Take it or leave it and if you don't like it, youre being greedy?

Really weird argument.

Where's that Peterson/Newman image again?
