Pre-orders for what exactly? The FE cards are ordered directly from NVidia and the AIB cards haven't even been announced yet so there's nothing to pre-order.

Right after the launch event of the 2080 cards on the 20th August 2018 we were able to pre-order the AIB cards. I had my order in at 1930 that night on overclockers.

As far as im aware overclockers never sell founders edition. So wait for any pre-order on the nvidia site. Unless you're talking about the partner cards which haven't been announced.

2080ti worth no more than £400
*shrug covid-19 means money is growing on trees in my medical sample testing industry. I'll be holding onto the 2080ti until the 3090 turns up and selling it for whatever, I don't care, money really doesn't mean anything to me at this point. Covid-19 has made me rich.

Right after the launch event of the 2080 series cards we were able to pre-order the AIB cards. I had my order in at 1930 that night on overclockers.

But I'm betting those AIB cards were launched simultaneously and the details on the manufacturers' websites?

This time there's nothing. The AIBs haven't announced and there are no details on their sites so, until this happens, there's nothing to pre-order.

Asus stream is a waste of time.

Clearly timed today to try to cash in on Ampere fervour after the NVidia stream yet just had a brief bit about their cards with no details and obviously just pushing other products.

Whole stream looks very amateurish too and poor quality.

2080ti worth no more than £400

It's what everyone's been screaming out for lets be honest. I'm glad they actually came out and priced aggressively. Considering the Titan last gen was what £24XX the new Titan (3090) card is £1399, that's a massive shift for a start. The 3080ti will probably slot in around £999 in a few months or what not and they actually have a pretty great range for a lot of budgets.

I'm absolutely surprised with the £649 3080 FE which is actually £100 cheaper than the 2080 FE when it launched 2 years ago, I fully expected the pricing in line with that.

That £479 for the 3070 looks to be astounding value.

All in all people really can't complain and it's a much better space for consumers. It will be interesting to see just how far AMD push the envelope price wise.

Well as shocking as that is, it's good to have a series that changes the game up and delivers.

I don't think Ampere has disappointed. I think it's delivered.

The point many of us have been making is that it was *Turing* that "changed the game up" (for worse). This lunch gets Nvidia back on track (and then some, maybe) from generational-progress standpoint.

Turing is the outlier.
