Not sure what you expected?
Generally speaking companies will charge people what they're willing to pay, and people have proven that they're willing to spend a hell of a lot of money on consumer graphics cards.
Yet they didn't in this supposedly generational leap in performance, what does that tell you?
It is cheaper though really in a way...
3080 founders edition is £100 cheaper than the 2080 was at launch the last time around.
3070 in October launches at £479 which I don't think anyone can complain about when the 3060 is still to come.
3090 however, they referred to that as the Titan, realistically this is the Titan of this generation of cards at £1399 compared to what the £24XX launch price of the RTX Titan.
There is a gap there for the 3080Ti to slot in at £999 realistically and if that was to happen that would be £150 cheaper than last gen if the card does indeed launch in a few months.
I'm honestly more surprised the 3080 wasn't in line with the 2080 launch at £749, it's a pleasant surprise.

Cheaper than last gen release, sure -- but don't forget they mega-amped up the price for the last 2 gens![]()
So much for the next gen being cheaper!!
It was nVidia vs 3Dfx, ati wasn't in the running in 1999. The 21 years anniversary marketing meant what?TBF,optimal price/performance each generation only happens when both companies show their hands. So until AMD shows their hand, and then Nvidia responds,Nvidia can set the pricing for the immediate future.
So if you want lower prices, then wait and see what both companies do.Don't believe me?? Nvidia released the Super range after the 5700XT which helped drop prices down a bit.

Yes but I'm purely wondering what all the 21 years hype in the lead up to launch - without any delivery on that hype.I am talking about 2020,not 1999! I mentioned AMD,not even ATI!!
